Looking Forward: Alice in Wonderland (1933)

1 May

So. Prompted by one of the first spam comments I’ve had to block for this blog (Cialis):

Alice in Wonderland, Friday, May 3 at 8:00 p.m. on TCM.

Alice in Wonderland (1933)

As the girl herself wonders, “How bad could it be?”

Gary Cooper. Cary Grant. W C Fields. Leon Errol. Edward Everett Horton. Jack Oakie. Roscoe Karns. Baby LeRoy. Charlie Ruggles. Edna May Oliver. Sterling Holloway. May Robson. Billy Barty.

One movie. With a screenplay by Joseph L. Mankiewicz and William Cameron Menzies.

Not to mention name-I-just-like-saying-aloud Louise Fazenda. She just sounds like a scarcely-remembered actress from the ’30’s, doesn’t she?

You know, I don’t really care if it isn’t supposed to be very good. I am not going to not watch the above described, am I?

See you back here sometime after it airs…

Well, hell, yeah, with that roster (and my love of all things Alice) I MUST DVR! You are providing quite a service here, my friend!

I live to serve. I also recommend following the TCMparty hashtag while “Alice” is on Friday.
